DUF's turnover was 21.6 million Danish kroner in 2006.

Resources were primarily spent on an array of projects, activities, and initiatives for children and young people. Part of the resources went towards running DUF's secretariat with approximately 30 employees.

DUF distributes more than 100 million Danish kroner every year to work carried out in the field of children and young people. The  money comes from pools and lottery funds, the European Union, and a number of ministries.

In 2006, DUF distributed just under 112 million Danish kroner from pools and lottery funds to 76 organisations working with children and young people.
