More information

PARTICIPATE!

PARTICIPATE is an international network where DUF, Youth Alive! Kenya, and Youth Empowerment and Transformation Trust (YETT) in Zimbabwe engage young people in civil society, open doors for international cooperation, and strengthen competencies in democracy, dialogue, and participation.

The core of the network is the annual international seminars.

As part of PARTICIPATE!, you will meet other inspiring young people from Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Denmark and discuss how youth can engage in civil society and democracy.
The focus is on building equal partnerships and creating sustainable projects together.

In 2026, the international Connect seminar will take place in Zimbabwe.
The seminar aims to bring together young people to create youth-driven international partnerships.
The week-long international seminar will be held in Victoria Falls.
The program includes workshops on international partnerships, projects, democracy, and dialogue. There will also be plenty of time to get to know one another — and to experience Kenyan and Zimbabwean culture.
The seminar will be conducted in English.

Before the seminar, we help you match with a relevant organization from either Kenya or Zimbabwe, with whom you can explore potential cooperation during the seminar.

After the seminar, we hope your organization will enter into an international partnership with a Kenyan or Zimbabwean organization and together develop a project focusing on democracy, dialogue, and youth participation.
During the seminar in Zimbabwe, we support you in developing your project idea, and after the seminar DUF’s advisors are available for guidance and support with the next steps.

Before the international seminar, a preparatory meeting will be held in Copenhagen on 20 February.
Together, we will prepare for the international seminar and begin exploring some of the PARTICIPATE themes — such as democracy, participation, advocacy, and international partnerships.
