Youth Delegate Programme

the youth delegate programme

Every year, eight Danish youth delegates represent the Danish youth at the UN as well as other multilateral fora. The youth delegates are representatives of Danish children and youth organisations and appointed by DUF to give Danish youth a voice in international decision-making processes. The youth delegates also contribute in sharing and anchoring global agendas among Danish youth through different informational activities.

The Youth Delegate Programme is part of DUF’s cooperation with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Global Youth Programme, with youth delegates appointed in pairs, following four thematic focus areas: Democracy and Partnerships, Technical and Vocational Education and Job Creation, Climate and Environment
Democracy and Partnerships and Equality and SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rigths).

The Danish youth delegates are nominated by Danish children and youth organisations and appointed by the Danish Youth Council.
