FAQ about the International Pool
Who can apply?
DUF’s member organisations can apply for funding from DUF’s International Pool.
DUF’s International Project Pool supports youth-led projects in collaboration between a Danish member organization and a partner organization from one of the countries on the OECD DAC List. If an organization from a country on the OECD DAC List intends to seek funding from DUF’s International Pool, it must therefore create a partnership with one of DUF’s Danish member organizations to apply for the funding. You can see a list of DUF’s member organizations under ‘application forms’.
Besides being an organization from a country on the OECD DAC List, the partner organization must also be either a youth organization, a group of young people working to establish their own youth organization or a youth wing in an already established organization.
What can we apply funding for?
DUF’s International Pool aims to boost the organisational power of young people and their opportunities to make a mark on their own communities. DUF’s International Pool funds projects in which member organisations collaborate internationally to promote democracy and youth participation. For example:
- Projects where you do workshops and trainings for children and youth that build skills, for instance on how to advocate for a cause, sexual and reproductive rights and health or how to organize effectively
- Projects where you establish youth groups, scouting groups or school clubs
- Projects where you strengthen volunteers or members access and knowledge of how to influence decision-making in their organization
- Projects where you build democratic and transparent structures in the partner organization
- Projects where you engage with local decisionmakers to ally for with you for a cause
