The Danish Youth Council wants to express our continued support to Ukraine and Ukrainian youth and their right to freedom, democracy and independence.
We condemn the invasion that Russia has initiated and targeted against democracy in Ukraine.
Our thoughts are especially with the young Ukrainians that we and our member organizations have build strong ties with through our international project work. These are partnerships and friendships, that are built on our common aspiration for a free and democratic way of life.
Until today, young people in Ukrainian civil society have been able to work towards such a bright and democratic future. A future that they themselves could shape and decide upon.
This hope and aspiration must not be weakened. Our work for the youth will not be stopped! We will continue to support youth partnerships across borders and together with our partners create strong platforms for democratic activism, e.g. in the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House.
For we must never stop our faith in democracy and never give in to those who oppose it.
